Congratulations - you have decided you want to get married. Now the exciting and challenging part starts; preparing your wedding - location, venue for receptions, bridal dress, photography etc., etc.,
We prepare for most things in life - our careers (school exams, university degrees), learning skills (e.g. how to drive, fly a plane), but how many of us prepare for what will be the most important relationship of our lives.
Good marriages don't just happen - they are made; by two people who put each other first. This is what love is. When we meet the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with, we never think that things might not work out right. We certainly think that we will do it better than our parents.
Sadly, statistics tell us that this is not the case. Today, 4 in 10 marriages break up, many in the first years. Over 3,000 children are affected by the divorce of their parents every week!
We can help you to make your chance of success with your relationship greater. This help comes in the form of a unique questionnaire called FOCCUS. You and your partner can fill it in separately, and then someone trained in the use of FOCCUS will help you talk about things that you may find difficult. It really works and can be FUN!
